mathiports was founded in 2017 by Bjarne Mathiesen who has more than 45 years of international experience within seaports, including management, consultancy and research. He offers his expertise to port businesses of all sizes, based on a practical approach and a deep theoretical background.

Feasibility study, planning and detailed design of cyclonic surge protection (embankments and afforestation). Preparation, international tendering and signing of construction contracts with Bangladeshi and Chinese contractors. Team leader and responsible for the execution of more than 80 km embankment in cyclone prone areas. The project was financed by the World bank, the European Commission, Japanese Government and Saudi Arabian Fund.
